A Final year Project

Relic is a First person Shooter for  1 to 4 players were the player(s) fight against waves of enemys using a varity of gadgets and weapons    

​

Made at the end of year 3 of BSc Games Design as my major Project. i spent 12 weeks putting the game together being prompted to go for a multiplayer game by the games studio Fabrik who put forward a Game spec that called for a multiplayer left 4 dead style game. given i had just submitted a literature review into psychology used in the game industry which revolves around multiplayer games for its data i saw this as a good oppertunity to put forward what i learn't while researching the topic

Game Features: 

  • working server based multiplayer allowing for Hosting and Joining using IP addresses

  • in game crafting system for weapons, ammo and gadgets were the player uses loot dropped by fallen enemys to craft more.

  • variety of weapons

    • currently consisting of a rifle a shotgun and a grenade launcher​

    • each weapons ammo can be crafted using enemy loot drops

  • Variety of Gadgets​

    • consisting of an Automatic Turret, A placable Shield, A land Mine and a Health dispenser.​

  • Working wave based AI enemies

    • with synched loot drops that can be seen by all players
