Thrust SSR is a single player Arcade Racer were the player controls a high Speed Hover car across a large open world

Made in year 3 of BSc Games Design as part of my research into Criteron and the burnout franchise with a specific interest in Burnout paradise as well as other arcade racers such as trackmania and Split second. eventually designing the Open world level shown hear.

the Player is in control of a hover car that can glide over terrain go fast and turn quickly requiring the player to understand how it works in order to get the best times on one of the three race types

  • Cannonball Run

    • Finish the circuit as fast as possible from A to B or completing the required number of laps via checkpoints. no time limit applies in this mode, but the Player time will still be recorded for the track leader board with a base time to beat.

  • Time Challenge

    • Beat the circuit goal times to win a bronze, silver, or gold medal; bronze being the slowest (easiest to obtain) and gold the fastest (hardest to obtain). The post-race screen presents the Player’s time and the award the Player won (gold, silver, bronze).

  • Survival​

    • Survive and gain points for driving for as long as you can but if the player slows below a certain speed the bomb goes off and its game over
